New member - 68 Charger, Surrey

Post by Mark Flower »

Just a quick hello 👋

After a lifetime looking at them and thinking “I need one of those, but it’s just so big…” I’ve finally taken the leap and bought a 68 Charger.

Look forward to connecting with you guys and girls, especially as I’m going to need some advice along the way as plan to make some improvements. High on my list is making it stop better…. 😂

Yay ! Welcome…

Been in that journey - it never ends…. ( improvements) haha.
For what it’s worth, I went down the wilwood route for brakes.

Thanks all!

Private purchase from previous owner, and I’m based near Leatherhead.

Thanks for the suggestion of the Brighton Run next Sunday 20th, I wasn’t aware and I’d like to do it - will be a good first test for me with the car too! I’ve found a poster for it on t’internet, looks like I just need to register with Derek (that’ll be you? I’ll send you a text as well…) and get to Starbucks before 11am?

It seems Wilwood are the go-to brake upgrade, but I have obviously got some homework to do - which is half the fun!

Great looking car and colour...im guessing from the pic it's not a factory colour but could just be the light. Either way it looks really nice.

Brighton run is great and you will be amongst some amazing cars.

I'm over in Woking, so a fellow Surrey bod.

Thanks all - will take some photos of it over next couple of days (it’s in storage at the moment, getting it out tomorrow for the Brighton run) but I do have one of its heart that I can post now :)
