Why are the wings on Superbirds different heights ??
Daytona too
What gives, massive variables in height

Think it had something to do with being high enough to clear the trunk lid when it's open, 'Bird one would have to be higher than a 'tona I guess. Don't think there was any more science to it than that....

Daytona is lower and more upright - take it from me.
Daytona was developed in the wind tunnel (apparently) which is why they are called wing cars, not because they have a wing, if you get what I mean.

Superbird was built for hologenation rules, but with considerably less thought.
Wing is based on standard deck panel, unlike the Daytona, hence the taller wing.

If i could just find it  the one 4 cars back has a wing about a foot higher
This wont make sense til you see the picture but dont think tyres etc would make that much diffrence as all the cars appear level in rows

'Bird was 24" high, can't remember the Daytona but it was a fair bit lower.

Best picture I can find at the moment.

My Daytona on the left and Stuart Keen's 'Bird on the right.

The colour of the Daytona tail makes it look bigger than it is.

I once parked my Orange 'Bird back to back with John Houlihan's Daytona at Billing. Both cars were orange, his had a white tail. You could see a clear difference in height and rake then. Happy days....

The "Ringer Car" that Plymouth built to take out the Mustang may be different.
Blue knows more about that one than me.....and you thought McLaren and Ferrari cheated..........
