Still loads to do, Matt.

Utility room / Study needs finishing and then the whole cottage needs re-rendering and painting. I think there is another year's work in it.

This week I have been restoring the front of the original garage and that took 4 coats of paint after all the repairs / Filling / sealing. I spend my life on scaffolding lately....

Had it just 13 months,so far new outdoor oil boiler and most of the C/H system renewed plus megaflow type hot water.Complete, everything from the meter rewire, bedroom ceilings taken down, plasterboarded and skimmed also 3 stud walls done the same. Had chimney repaired and pointed and now have a nice new American Vermont Castings Intrepid woodburner. Currently we're decorating upstairs then I have the kitchen to look at which may involve lifting the floor to put in DPC before anything else. There's 1/3rd acre outside with parking for six plus workshop garage 40 x 14.

Finally got my paintbrush out!

Well, several really....

4 coats of paint using a 11/2" wide paintbrush so I could cut in around the beams.

I better move before I have to do it again

Thanks Duncan, it will be 8 years in February.
Total restoration inside and out, and the extension.

I have still got to do all the front of the Cottage, but the back was the priority as it gets all the weather.

The front will take another year to complete; it has as many Beams on the front as the back and that is what takes all the time in terms of preparation.

Never again...

Looking good :thumbright: Have you sealed between render and beams? I guess that's a breathable lime based paint?
Spare a thought for me in Wales, just bought 12 pallets of block pavers,a block cutter and compactor plate. Got to dig up all the concrete paths round the house and re lay as they're above the damp course.
