chrome paint

anyone had any joy chrome type paint out of a can? tried vht chrome plus and plasti-kote chrome effect both work well until touch the paint or put a clear coat on top it just turns grey

I used the plasti-kote brush on one to touch my chrome wheels up. It's not perfect, but it looks better than rust

dave wheels look good never seen plasti-kote brush on paint only in spray cans can you touch the paint without marking it ?
Will any ideas of cost of that paint ?

Odds.. not at the moment... Don is finalising the deal with the company, also I don't know yet what quantities are available, be no use if you have to buy a gallon of the stuff, also don't know if there are any conditions for application.

I'll find out more (no probs as I'm curious anyway)

Odds, I think I made a mistake, I think the paint was made by odds n ends. It came in a bottle a bit larger than the Humbrol model paints and cost about ?3 from my local hardware store. I'm not sure about touching the paint without marking it, as I've not polished the wheels since, only gone over them with a cloth to tidy them up. The photos make the wheels look better than they are close up, but it does hide the odd rust spots.
If you want to try some of this paint and can't get it anywhere, let me know and I'll sort out sending you some.
