Hi from new member

Post by JD426 »

Hi all, John Davison here. As the new owner of the ex-Roger Butterworth, Soper & Heck Road Runner, thought I'd just say hi. The car is my 46th. American car since Feb.'71, so hopefully, I'll be able to give it a good home. Look forward to seeing you all at the Pod etc.

Hi John

46 in 44 years?! Wow

Tho by the law of averages you'll probably only keep it for less than a year. Unless you've still got all the other cars too ;)

Nice to see another racer on here, we're getting a bit thin on the ground of late. We will be going to the HRD's at shakey mid sept.
BTW, lovely car and it seemed a good price as well.

Thanks for all the replies! The 46 include two new Aussie XR8 utes bought new (the only new cars I've ever owned). The one I shoulda kept was a '65 Riviera Gran Sport. I've given up owning three or four at a time!!!
The intention is to keep the Plym as it is and do a few rwyb's. I've been through the front end and brakes (nothing needed with the brakes apart from clean and adjust), replacing all the brake hoses, both top and one lower ball joint and all top a arm bushes and steering gaiters + cleaned up underneath. Am very pleased with the car. As I'm sure some of you are aware, Roger looked after it.
