New member - first American car

Post by alex_123_fra »

Hi all, just joined so saying hello. What a great forum this is.

Some lovely cars too! Mine is not quite a classic but picking up a late 2015 Challenger Hellcat tomorrow.

I have an extensive car history but this is the first American muscle car for me. Instantly loved it as soon as I saw it.

Would appreciate any recommendations of independent specialists able to deal with American muscle cars/Dodge models.

Hope to see you in some meets and cruises.

Hi Alex, and welcome.
A hell cat ! Hell yeah !!!
I've gone " modern " just for a whil, and can certainly see the attraction. My heart is still classic though.
Post up your location , and we can point you in the direction of local garages / people who can do any work you need doing on your car.
Oh. Best get some pics up too !! :thumbright:

The biggest mistake I ever made in my life was, driving a Hellcat, because now I really want one,I have a base model 2012 R/T and flat out love the car ,it took me three weeks to get over it, I went to the dealer for service today saw 5 of them, dam they are sexy nice ,so get ready for lots of smiles per gallon ,and tires, and welcome to the club :thumbright: :thumbright: :thumbright:

Thanks all, very kind. Picked it up today. Am so chuffed with it. It just oozes excellent build quality and keeping my fingers crossed about reliability.

It attracts quite a crowd. I drove through central london to get home and happened to drive past a few schools as they closed for the weekend. Never seen so many excited kids! The V8 sounds superb. The car is a joy to drive at low or high speeds. Very lovable. On the motorway, traction isn't an issue when accelerating past 45/50mph. The tyres hold up reasonably well. Never thought I'd be so glad to see an Audi RS car go (C7 RS6). Haven't been this excited about a car in years. Some low quality pics through my phone, incuding a cheesy one of me with the cat :
