What goes on in your mind, Dave???

It says "S.Pardoe 1996"

He was the previous owner of the cottage :read2:

Actually he did a brilliant job, as it was condemned and would have been pulled down without his care and action.

Where the garage is now located there was another cottage called "Cooks cottage" which was a serf's hovel and was pulled down in the early 1930's.

Another cottage was present down the bridle path but was also razed; and that gave credence to the affordable housing case as it was argued that the area had been developed in the past.................

I take it by the Corvette's placing you're confident no more tiles will drop off the barn!
Nice work Pete, like the attention to detail :thumbright:

Actually one tile DID slide off whilst I was nailing the feather edged boarding on, but we have lots of replacements.

Both the Barn and garage are a mish-mas of incorrectly fitting tiles - I am amazed how many different profiles and sizes there are; and they are ALL up on my roofs!!

The Corvette is made of plastic, so they should bounce off ;)
Nowhere else at present to store it, really................

Whilst looking for other files, I stumbled across this old picture of "Johnny Cooks" cottage which used to stand where the garage now is....it is certainly "airy".....

I like your style, chap :thumbright:

That actually was one consideration - to create an annex over the Garage, which is only slightly smaller in footprint than one of the affordable houses (I have the scale plans for them).

However, the budget has taken a bit of a kicking of late so having to consider the options.......
