realised I’ve not updated this thread for a long time

my bad, so here goes

to recap, it’s no major build or resto, just a few ramblings about things I’ve done to keep my old Charger on the road and in reasonable fettle

over the past week I’ve been trawling thro old photos and putting some words together, hopefully over the next weeks I’ll be up to date

rewind to 2009 …

the front valance had always bugged me a little, was a bit scabby and over 40 years looked like it had been used as a parking aid on a number of occasions

as it is relatively straight forward to remove I decided to do so and get it repaired and painted, rather than doing it in situ and it snowballing into painting the whole car

so off it came and away with it up to Dave (Moparnutterz) in Chorley for sorting out

decided to take off the front fenders to check for rot and treat any areas not possible to reach with them on

pleasantly surprised to find only a little surface rust

both scuttle panel drains blocked with old rodent nests, I guess that’s why I used to get wet feet when the car was out in the rain, seems to be cured now

cheers guys

this was back in 2009 remember

i’m catching up slowly

apart from the scabby valance I guess I could have just left as is would have looked ok, but while I had the valance and bumper off seemed sensible to take a look under the fenders
