I was lucky Chris, paid around £130, vintage shifters are fetching $400 and more these days. Always have carpet in my cars Gary, they just look unfinished without it IMO.

Spent a bit more time knocking the damage out of the trunk lid trims, they are as good as I can get them now. Reinstated the Matt silver inlays and the black pinstripes. I'm pretty happy with how it looks now.

Vinyl pinstriping tape Ali. I was going to paint it but it’s very difficult to mask for the thin inner line so this seemed a better option.

yes I tried painting it too but very difficult and needs a steady hand, but still bad, so no paint on mine.

I will have to try this tape, thanks Blue :thumbright:

what width tape is it 3mm or 6mm?

Prop shortened, perches welded on and braced, brake lines roughed out, I'll tweak 'em for a better fit on the car. Axle case to paint and then it can all go in. Engine has some leaks and odd oil pressure issues so I'll start tearing that down Tomorrow, lets just hope that doesn't turn into a can of worms :roll:

Not the engine Blue..... hope its simple and you don't get all perfectionist on it just yet... we need to see this car!
