I was going to say B-50 as well, didnt know about the J bit.
Love the B-36 , nice to see Boeing kept the B17 rudder and tailplane shape.
If it looks right it is right! =P~

I spy a Tigercat , is that the one that was at Duxford??
Also an Airacobra, love them.

That looks a fabulous trip. I will dig out my Fantasy of Flight pics, not as good as the boneyard but still a great place.

Those A10's are awesome

We had some trucks hijacked in Iraq, the drivers were fine but the Iraqi Army took the trucks. We were worried they may try and use them to deliver a nasty surprise into a British camp as they had UK call signs and paperwork in them.

One call to the yanks and the transponder codes given to them, 20 minutes later $160,000 of brand new trucks were in pieces all over the place. The A10's just dont mess around. Got some pics somewhere of what was left of the trucks. There was nothing left of the bad guys who were driving them at the time either !!! Got some pics of them (well, bits of them) but not suitable for here.

Ironically the clocks in the cab still worked....weird

Was that a missile attack or does that massive gun on the front do that sort of damage?

Don't know exactly what they use to shoot em up but a bit of a mixture of firepower I guess. They are designed as tank busters so were perfect for the job.

I agree with the fact that some dont like us but better we do that than the bad guys drive it into a British base and detonate it.

The Iraqi's that worked for me were very pleased with the fact we got rid of Sadam, they understood that war was war and they "lost" but given the rows of people waving flags in support when we arrived in Basra I think they were supportive. Most of the Iraqi's in the south were pleased we got rid of Sadam, he was terrible to them.

However the Americans are very gun ho, and not very repectful to the locals, that's what caused a lot of the problems. They should never had disbanded the Iraqi Army after they got beaten. They should have kept them onside by paying them their wages (something Sadam was bad at) and let them flush out the rest of the insurgents.

I'm quite matter of fact about stuff as I did war zones for 15 years, if a bad guys gonna do something bad then he needs to get stopped. They know the risks as much as we did.

What would people have said if we hadn't stopped the trucks and they used to kill Brits?
