ENJOY A RUN IN YOUR MOPAR WITH OTHER MMA MEMBERS It's always enjoyable getting out and about in your pride and joy and using it for what it was built for, driving. But probably the best time on the open road can be had with like minded enthusiasts. Mopars and American Muscle always draws a lot of attention and admiring stares from the public, but even more so when there's a convoy of cars of this genre. In addition to enjoying the "buzz" sharing a journey with other club members provides, there's the added benefit of help and support should anything go wrong. SHOW OFF YOUR MOPAR AT AN MMA ATTENDED EVENT During the course of the year the MMA organises some key events, many other are attended in force by it's members. The biggest event for Mopar enthusiasts in the year has to be the Mopar Euronationals held at the end of July every year at Santa Pod, (though not organised by the MMA). This has to be one of the (if not THE), biggest Mopar event outside of the USA. With drag racing action all weekend, the Friday night cruise and the Sunday Show and Shine, it's always well attended and a great family weekend out! GET IN ON THE MOPAR RACING ACTION Mopars have an illustrious history when it comes to a sporting heritage, they have participated in many types of motor racing. Mopars are probably most famous (or infamous!) in the field of American “NASCAR” (National Association for Stock Car Auto Racing). The notorious “Wing Cars” - the Dodge Charger Daytona and the later Plymouth Roadrunner Superbird were truly ground breaking with their first foray into basic aerodynamics which, when coupled with the legendary “Hemi” engine, made them pretty much unbeatable.  The Daytona was the first car to lap the ovals at over 200 mph. As a result, they were banned after the 1970 season and were consigned to the history books. Some consider this to be NASCAR’s brightest moment. ASSISTANCE IN CARE AND RESTORATION OF MOPARS Whatever MOPAR you own, or hope to own, it will need maintenance and maybe restoration or repair, depending on what kind of life it has lead. As a member of the MOPAR Muscle Association you have access to a wealth of knowledge and expertise from other members, to help and advise on all aspects of owning, driving and maintaining your MOPAR. Don’t be put off owning one because you don’t know much about how to maintain it, learning how they work is part of the fun of owning a MOPAR. Whether your Dodge, Plymouth or Chrysler is factory original, modified for the street or a full race car, there will always be help and advice on hand. There are members who have been through complete restorations of cars from rusty wrecks and there are others who prefer to entrust their pride and joy to others for work to be done.
